unstoppably creative
Well, hello. I'm Leslie.
It was never enough for me to learn something just for myself. I was never fulfilled until I shared it with someone else. So when I was a kid, the minute I got home from school I would line up my stuffed animals and teach them everything I'd learned it school. I'd also sing for hours in my room, playing every character on the soundtracks and when it was time for a family vacation, guess who was the kid who kept the written journal of the trip? Yep. That was me.

Flash forward to adulthood and it made total sense that I wasn't willing to be put in a box. A self-proclaimed entrepreneur, I wanted to do all the things: run a business, perform, write and more, but there was one problem. I was terrified of singing in public! So how is it possible then I went on to become a Broadway actress, a Billboard artist, a Bestselling Author and a top Empowerment Coach, you ask?
Well, I'll tell ya! Lots of failures. Lots of blood, sweat and tears. And a ton of bravery. And let's be honest, I'm an onery little cuss, and when I want something, I go for it. In fact, I have a personal mantra I live by: Never ask permission to enact a great idea. That's how my first book The Organized Actor® came to be. I had the idea, pitched it, sold it and wrote it in three days. Seriously. It's now in it's 7th edition (and a new one on the way!).

I had 24 awesome years in New York city performing on Broadway and in major National Tours including WICKED, ANYTHING GOES, BONNIE & CLYDE, AMAZING GRACE, NINE, CINDERELLA, SHOW BOAT, BEAUTY AND THE BEAST and more. Regionally I starred in more than 50 productions across the country
As a storyteller, I've written book and lyrics for the musical A PROPER PLACE with composer Curtis Rhodes, which recently received its World Premiere Production at The Village Theatre in Seattle, and FETCHING WATER (with composer Michael Hunsaker) which has been optioned and is headed toward an off-Broadway run in the Fall of 2024..

In 2014, God put a new calling on my heart to begin writing country and pop music, and my debut single Slow Burn hit #4 on the AC Billboard /Hot AC charts. What? Seriously. It was the craziest time of my life and started to spend a good amount of time in Nashville, and fell in love it. At the beginning of 2020 (before Covid hit), I finally took the leap of faith and have never looked back. Now you can catch me singing out at songwriter nights, and real soon my country EP will be hitting the world!
But lemme be clear--I don't say any of this to impress you, but to impress upon you that when you decide what you want, you believe it's possible, and you go out and do it--you can make anything happen.
